This website is dedicated to homeowners everywhere.

A couple of years ago, I was away on a business trip. My fiance at the time (now wife), was home with the dog and cat. She returned from the grocery store to find 2 inches of water in our living room. The dog was soaked. The cat was pissed.

As it turns out, a pipe in the second-floor bathroom had burst. This was a sixty-year-old townhouse and the pipes were in rough shape. (My current house is at least 112 years old – yikes).

More recently, I had some issues with my ten-year-old water heater. It was quite the project. The beast was a 75-gallon tank. The corrosion in the top looked like Australia’s coral reef. I enlisted my brother to help. It turned out to be a two-day project. At the end of the day, we finished without any major problems.

Lessons were learned and I’m happy to share my experience.

These experiences among others led me down a path to learning the ins and outs of residential plumbing. I’m not afraid of any job that calls for a plumber. The guys at the local hardware store know me by my first name. I’ve collected every tool of the trade. I’ve lost many wrenches but found many stories.

If you’re stuck on a project or considering the next one, I hope this website helps.
